Our summer event

As previously announced, we are having an event on 25 June 2009. This will feature a series of speakers discussing identity and privacy in the modern age. Guests will include:
- Robert Buckland (Tory candidate, Swindon South)
- Steve Goddard (Lib Dem candidate, Oxford East)
- Peter Hitchens (Columnist, Mail on Sunday)
- Peter Tatchell (Human Rights Campaigner, Green candidate, Oxford East)
- Glyn Wintle (Open Rights Group)
Come along and join in the discussion at the Sutro Room at Trinity College, Broad Street from 8pm.

It should be noted that we invited Andrew Smith MP to come along. He sent his apologies just a few hours before the event. Apparently he couldn’t come and couldn’t find anyone else willing to defend the Government’s position on identity and privacy. Shame – it would have been very interesting indeed.
