Guy Herbert, General Secretary of NO2ID, spoke at an event in Oxford last month, hosted by the Oxford Libertarian Society.  A video of his talk “The Birth of the Database State” is available on their site.

Our next pub meeting will be on Thursday 1 October, from 8pm at the Mitre on the High Street. Our monthly street stall will be happening the weekend after on Saturday 3 October. Our last couple of stalls have suffered from the sheer number of other stalls on Cornmarket Street. So this [...]

We’ll be having our monthly stall on Saturday 1 August in Cornmarket Street from 11am for a couple of hours. I’ve been so focussed on the public meeting that I have forgotten to publicise July’s monthly meeting. This will take place on Thursday 2 July at the Mitre, High Street, Oxford from 8pm. We’ll be looking at how the event went and planning what do next.

Our showing of the film Taking Liberties has been organised.  It will be from 8pm on 26th February in the Council Room at Mansfield College.  There will be no charge, but a donation to cover our costs would be appreciated.  This quite neatly coincides with the Convention on Modern Liberty which is taking place in [...]

Our monthly stall will be on Saturday 31 January. We will be on Cornmarket Street from 11am for a couple of hours as usual, gathering signatures and talking to people.

We’ll be kicking off the new year with a meeting from 8pm at The Mitre on Thursday 8 January.  We usually meet on the first Thursday of the month, but since this falls on New Year’s Day we thought we’d push it back a week…
